liera : The time John sent the shadow also looks like an hour past Kai's scene (6:50pm JST is 1:50am PST on Nov 24, 2024 if I converted right.) But now that I look at it, wasn't John's stream supposed to be at 6:00pm JST? xD
liera : To me, the one at Kai seemed more to be something that's subtly controlling him through suggestion... could be wrong too tho!
HappyVainGlory : In hindsight though, maybe I should have had a few chapters laying out all this information clearer... Well, I'll remember for next time. *noted*
HappyVainGlory : As for why he can't do anything right now to find them, it has to do with the nature of not his power, but Yue's, as well as the nature of her existence. Unlike John, she wasn't born a mortal and worked her way up.
HappyVainGlory : John has indeed broken past all limits, but remember that he did so and immediately left. He actually hasn't gotten a complete handle on the full breadths of his powers after breaking that last limit
HappyVainGlory : We'll see what Meg's up to this chapter. I think that at this point she's so angry she's just disappointed though... But we'll see how that scene unfolds when I write it
Overload : What I don't understand is why John is incapable of doing anything. I am sure there is a good reason, but he basically ascended to Godhood...I would think he could find someone on a physical, spiritual, and magical level easily. Maybe I am wrong tho!
Overload : Maybe Meg made a deal with someone over there to mess with her father out of pure anger? She doesn't seem to care about him, or, more likely, she is a super Tsun. lol

Overload : I am of the opinion it is either Yue or Meg. Though this last chapter showed someone is watching them, but it was at the same time as Kai's POV so it could have just been the shadow John sent. Yue definitely seems to be a bit of an airhead (whether that is true or not remains to be seen) and Meg is holding a serious grudge.

HappyVainGlory : *thinking* I will neither confirm nor deny that. I will say that the Jade Emperor's successor in real life lore is called the Heavenly Master of the Dawn of Jade of the Golden Door. Think of that how you will.

liera : My personal theory is that Yue's father did something (or sent someone) with the talisman from before since he seemed a bit too confident that his daughter would be leaving John and returning..
HappyVainGlory : On a side note. It just hit me that people probably don't know the myth of the Celestial Jade Emperor's daughter that fell in love with a human and what happened to them.
HappyVainGlory : No. They *are* around the same power level. At least originally before Yue decided to essentially respec. But even then she does have the ability to avoid John's sight because she's better at that sort of thing. Hm... Looks like it might just be at the right level of ambiguity then. Good to note that there are people weighing in on both sides. *noted*
Overload : I don't think it is all that confusing personally. John and Yue were presented at nearly the same power level with John slightly ahead. The idea that Yue is hiding from him for some reason is totally plausible in my mind. Maybe I was just reading it wrong though.
liera : Not to mention people (me) who can't wait for the destined meeting so we (I) just dump our frustrations on something or someone else! (Kai)
HappyVainGlory : Ooh, good point. That's something I probably should have set up better in the beginning. Hm... Well maybe the upcoming events that happen with Yue's pregnancy later will help clarify some things on why his powers were limited. Gotta remember to set better limits on character powers for future stories too...,*note*
liera : I think it has more to do with not knowing just what John is capable of, actually. We see his status as a transcendent talked about with high praise and the one who stood above the Three Realms, and we see him raring to go against gods, so seeing him have trouble when we don't have knowledge of his limitations could be the factor.
liera : but seriously though, for me it didn't really feel wrong. I mean, part of the fun is not knowing what comes next and it's not like the mystery would remain unsolved for long, right? Having those hints is more like to build up the reveal. If it was so easy to figure out, it wouldn't be much of a surprise!
liera : Don't worry! If even John is lost and confused, then us readers must be even more so!

liera : Same, I usually just rely on the archives now, which means there's a neverending backlog.. Ina streams on background are too comfy though and I end up falling asleep quite a bit x.x
HappyVainGlory : I agree that Gura's stream is calmer, but her voice is too distracting for me. Too cutesy to not pay attention to it... which is a good thing in general, but not for a background stream. At least for me.

Shii : For me, I just put the either on the side or background. Gura's stream is calmer, it's just her chat is a jetcoaster. Ina's chat is the most behaved one because of AO(her mod)

Like having them in a one piece vrmmo with their own ship and crew as their guild or playing to Alfi's love of mechs.
